Weekday Sushi Buffet :: Minado, Natick

October 25, 2017

I sneaked out of lab took half a day off today and headed to Minado @ Natick for the lunchtime sushi buffet. I've been to Minado a couple of times but never on a weekday so I was really curious to see how the menu differs from the weekend spread. After a 30 min drive from lab, our empty stomachs (did I say we skipped breakfast?) were glad to arrive at the land of sushi!

We were seated by friendly staff immediately upon arrival - much to our growling stomach's delight 🙂 Needless to say, we dived straight into the sushi rolls . . .

After satisfying my sushi cravings, I proceeded to try the hot foods. There was a nice selection including fried fish and chicken, fried fish clams , mussels, soba noodles, Tonkotsu Ramen, Udon soup, seafood and miso soups. If you are not a big eater, I think it is ok to give Ramen and Udon a miss and save the room for fish and mussels.

What's a meal without sweets? Of course we topped it off with desserts, desserts and more desserts! My favorite was the green tea ice cream 🙂

Overall, I would say Minado's weekday buffet is pretty high quality for the price. Options-wise, I find the food selection pretty comparable between weekday and weekend. It is definitely worth making the weekday trip for the lower price and 'more private' dining experience.
